Reflected Athena
Limited Edition High-Resolution Digital Artwork
Edition of 10 | AUD $295
Reflected Athena is a striking photographic interpretation of Nicholas Georgouras's celebrated Athena sculptures. Through the interplay of mirrored perspectives, light and shadow, the image presents multiple views of Athena simultaneously, revealing the sculpture's quiet authority, elegance and timeless presence.
The photograph explores themes central to Georgouras's artistic journey: transformation, resilience and the enduring influence of classical ideals. It alludes to the remarkable story of the original Marble Athena of 1976 and the later Bronze Athena, a sculpture born through loss, reinvention and creative determination.
Rich in symbolism and dramatic in composition, Reflected Athena transforms sculpture into a contemporary visual meditation on permanence and change. The reflective surfaces create a dialogue between form and light, inviting viewers to contemplate Athena not only as the goddess of wisdom, but also as a symbol of artistic courage and renewal.
Each edition accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the Nicholas Georgouras Estate.
